I am a registered clinical psychologist and candidate psychotherapist with the Association for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Western Australia (APPWA). I have extensive experience in private practice, community mental health, education and disability settings working with individuals across the lifespan. How I Work:I primarily offer adult psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which is a form of talk therapy that helps people understand how unconscious patterns, past experiences, and relationship dynamics influence their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Through regular sessions, we explore recurring themes, emotional reactions, and the therapeutic relationship itself to gain deeper insight into oneself and any difficulties in living. It can be particularly helpful for individuals experiencing persistent anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, adjustment concerns, work-related stress, personality challenges, or simply feeling "stuck" in recurring patterns. This form of therapy can be short or longer-term, depending on one's presenting concerns and needs; but as a general rule sessions will take place once or twice weekly. This will gradually make you aware of thoughts and feelings that have affected your emotional experience such as mood and self-esteem. This process can lead to subtle yet profound changes in your emotional awareness and regulation, and will improve your capacity to respond to difficulties presented in life.If you are interested in exploring this form of therapy, or have tried other therapeutic approaches without finding what you need, please contact me to discuss further.Medicare, private health fund and self-referred patients are welcome. Please check with your health fund provider about any rebates you may be entitled to.Session fees will be discussed prior to an initial consultation.Contact:West Perth & Booragoon
